The 2009 edition of Bylines Desk Calendar has 53 great stories with writers representing 29 states and 5 countries (China, Tasmania, Ireland, Great Britain, Canada). The same low price for 6 years!

Last year's celebrity desk belonged to Laura Ingalls Wilder. The "celebrity desk" on the 2009 cover is that of Mark Twain. He used this desk for much of his writing. The desk is on display at the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, Missouri. Mark Twain was also one of the first authors, perhaps even the first (as he claims), to use a typewriter in his writing. A photo of one of his typewriters can also be found inside Bylines. The 2009 Bylines is considered the "Mark Twain" edition, as all the photos inside (other than those of all the writers), relate to him in some way.

Hope Clark has used this calendar religiously for four years. 2009 will make her fifth! You'll be amazed at the writers you know who will appear within these pages. Each year editor Sylvia Forbes asks for writers to submit their story for consideration - to represent a week of the year. The current deadline for the 2010 calendar is February 1, 2009. http://www.bylinescalendar.com/guidelines.php
