Advertising with FundsforWriters...

FundsforWriters reaches people with a passion for writing. Let writers know about your product or service through online or newsletter exposure. Since FFW limits its ads to writing-related services, you do not see those get-rich-quick schemes. See what this advertiser has to say about listing her services in FFW...

My first ad in FFW and Small Markets drew 263 signups to my free mini-course, followed by a very satisfying number of enrollments in my paid-for advanced writing programme. I received my first five unsolicited testimonials from the advanced course students within 48 hours. This is a highly targeted list!  Highly recommended.   ~Dr John Yeoman, Writers' Village Academy. http://www.writers-village.org/academy

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained! Placing an ad in Funds for Writers is easy and affordable. And if your experience is anything like mine, response to your ad will be almost immediate, proof positive that FFW readers pay attention! Anyone with a product or service they believe fellow writers should know about, should definitely give FFW a try.  ~ Cathy Swormstedt, The James River Writing Company, www.jamesriverwriting.com

For my first advertising for my fledging business I needed to make strategic choices within a very limited budget. I chose to advertise in two places:  the Funds for Writers (FFW) newsletter and a major writer’s magazine (circulation of 100,000). FFW far outperformed the magazine! From my first FFW ad I got an immediate and enormous spike in traffic to my web site and within 24-hours had more than 100 people sign up on my website. And that was just the first ad! Over the course of the six-week ad campaign I saw a noticeable spike in traffic after each ad hit people’s inboxes and in total garnered at least 500 new sign-ups. If you’re thinking about advertising in FFW, do it!      - Joan Dempsey, Founder & President, www.literaryliving.com

YOU are wonderful to work with. Not only always nice and good-natured, but you're doing it! I've said it before, I wish I had 50 Hope Clarks as affiliates - I could work a lot less... ;)    ~Peter Bowerman, The Well-Fed Writer

Dear Hope,  Usually “thank you” will suffice.  However, not in this case. Chalet Publishers, LLC, ran an ad ONE TIME in Funds For Writers announcing we were currently accepting submissions. It had been exactly 24 hours since the newsletter and the ad were distributed. Queries, chapters, entire manuscripts --- the influx has just now slowed down. We received way over forty responses to our ad, and they are still pouring in.  (BTW, this is a very good problem!). Just wanted to let you know we think you and your newsletter rock! It’s just amazing and let’s us know just how loyal your fans are. We are thrilled to be working with you and want to thank you again.  ~ Most sincerely, Joyce Norman, Chalet Publishers, LLC

Hi Hope,
Advertising in your newsletter was a huge success. Not only did it increase traffic in the short term, but our numbers have been increasing steadily on average since the advertisement was posted. And your readers were just the audience we were looking for! We are a relatively new website, and were excited to see our number of subscribers almost double over the weekend. Because of the increased traffic we received, we are now re-vamping the website in order to make it easier to respond to comments and suggestions. It is extremely rewarding to see people enjoying our blog and interacting.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the ad. It looked terrific. Not only that, but I received two replies right away, which will more than cover the highly reasonable cost of the ad. I will certainly come straught back to you the next time I need to advertise my publicity services! ~Carol Upton, Dreams Aloud Promotions, www.dreamsaloud.ca

I just wanted to let you know that because I advertised with you, I got over EIGHT writers signed up for my retreats...and when a gal can only take 14 writers for the retreats total, that's AWESOME! I will make sure you are one of my main sources for advertising from now on. You're doing a great service to writers everywhere. Thanks so much and keep up the great work.

I was favorably pleased with the turnout of your readers who contributed to my book title contest. I got over two hundred requests for the contest package from your readers along with many good submissions. The winner received a $500 check. I remain a loyal reader and thanks for publishing my little contest.  ~John Wilder, www.marriagecoach1.wordpress.com

I've enjoyed advertising on Hope's site, not just for the work it's brought me, but for the people.  I've met writers from Africa, Europe, East Coast, West Coast, from 18 to 92, all with fascinating stories to tell.  Advertising on this site has enriched me in more ways than I can count. ~Richard Krawiec, Editor, http://www.rkeditor.com/

"I highly recommend advertising in Funds for Writers to anyone who wants to reach an audience of writers. Hope Clark delivers a topnotch newsletter with valuable information, and it's been an excellent vehicle for The Wordy Woman and VIP Authors. Our subscriber list has tripled and our classes are well attended as a result of our advertising in Funds for Writers. Thank you, Hope, for providing this quality service to the writing community."   ~Shelley Lieber, The Wordy Woman, aka CEO, VIP Authors.

Dear Hope: I love your newsletter and I was really happy to see Pacific Book Review listed. I just wanted to tell you about my experience with them. Their CEO is named Nicole and she is simply passionate about reading. She and her group not only read and rate the book but discuss it at morning meetings with other reviewers. As an author, you walk away with a powerful piece of information. Either your book is great or it's not. If not, you receive at least a page of suggestions. They are the best reviewing service I have had experience with. Kirkus was as cold as a cucumber even though they gave my work a great rating, I might have well been working with robots. Pacific Book Review is kind, compassionate and constructive. They are an especially good choice for the writer who has never had their worked critiqued professionally. Regardless of their rating, you are left with a sense of respect and hope. I simply cannot recommend them enough.     ~Best regards, Dr. Reece W. Manley, DD, M.Ed., MPM,  www.SpiritThinking.net

Pacific Book Review is very pleased with the results of advertising with FFW.  We have been receiving more book review orders since we placed the ad.  We certainly plan to keep advertising with FFW.     ~Nicole Sorkin, Managing Book Review Editor  - www.pacificbookreview.com

Dear Hope - I was delighted with the response to my ad in FFW -- I can't think where it would have done better!! Thanks for all you're doing.     ~Jocelyn W Knowles, Book Doctor, jwknowles@verizon.net

Thank you for helping Carteret Writers publicize their writing contest. My press release included an e-mail address for writer's guidelines requests, and a sudden increase in incoming mail was obvious. I suspected the incoming blip was tied to Funds for Writers so I immediately checked your latest newsletter. Sure enough, there was my announcement. Within hours after you sent out your e-mail newsletter, the guideline requests started coming in. I sent press releases to a number of online writing sites and newsletters. I can't do a scientific study, but I believe that your newsletter generated more resonse than any of the other online resources. Other response flurries came in later, but no other "radar blips" like yours. I suspect your advertisers may have the same results! Thank you for the support you give other writers, not only through the inspiration and markets in your paid and unpaid newsletters, but with the free announcements that benefit small regional writing groups as well.            ~Janet Hartman, President, Carteret Writers, www.carteretwriters.org

Today I got a message from another Christian fellow writer subscriber to your newsletter. He found out about me thru the ad I placed in FundsforWriters. I knew your newsletter was the right place to place my ad and God is already giving assurance of my right decision. Keep up the good work and thanks for the opportunity of advertising with you.                                               ~Tannia E. Ortiz-Lopes, www.tatepublishing.com, www.myspace.com/tanniaortizlopes

I just wanted to let you know that I only placed my ad with you last week. You ran it for the first time last week. The very next day I had my first order. Talk about being THRILLED!!!! Thank you for providing a very reasonably priced medium in which someone like me can place an ad without breaking my advertising budget while still reaching the audience I need to. I’m just tickled!!!   ~Brimming with gratitude, Courtney Mroch, www.courtneymroch.com, www.press-scribe.com

You'll be glad to hear I already got a response from the first ad :) I'm so pleased to see the advertising work so well!  ~Robin Mayhall, Editor, Email: robin@hieran.com

Just wanted to drop a line and say thank you for an ad placed in FFW. I found Ed Easley and Patricia Stively's editing service in the newsletter and was very pleased with the level of service. I have bought books and found an editor through FFW's advertisements, and all of them exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your personal recommendations. I am a FFW "groupie" and will likely continue to check out all you recommend.                                                                                       ~V.J. Cruise, Reformed Yankee Writing, www.reformedyankee.com

Thank you so much for running our ad in FundsforWriters. We were very excited to see the contest listing as well as experience the traffic to our site increase significantly - surely as a result. Aside from contest entries, we've even received a couple general submissions that have definite potential. We wanted to let you know.  ~Brown Recluse Books

We've used all kinds of tools to reach writers over the decade we’ve been in business, but I have to admit our ads in Funds For Writers and FFW Small Markets have, by far, been the most effective marketing tools we’ve found. You reach exactly the audience we want to target at very affordable rates.   ~E.D. Easley, Creative Editing Solutions, EaseDude2U@Comcast.net

Thanks Hope! Two awesome students signed up for my workshop and I received some good leads! I just paid for another 4 weeks of advertising! I love your newsletters! FundsforWriters is an awesome place to offer your expertise and services to the writing community. Advertising on this site reaches many serious writers who otherwise wouldn't know how to find me. I plan on keeping all my advertising right here where I get the most bang for my buck.     ~Trish Hopkins - www.fairyfolkpress.com
