Conferences

Hope makes several conferences per year, and if you've ever helped with a conference, you know they plan as much as a year in advance. I wanted to get my conference off to a strong start, so I slated Hope at the top of the conference schedule with her "Funding Streams for Your Writing Career" as an early-arrival seminar. Over half of my attendees for our weekend conference showed up early to hear her, and they couldn't wait for the rest of the conference! Writers left her seminar well-educated, energized and optimistic about their writing careers, whether they were just starting out or seasoned pros. Hope also held a breakout for children's writers and a three-hour small-group workshop on just grants. Writers were hooked on her information.

Having Hope as a speaker also boosted our attendance for what had historically been a small, state-wide conference. Once Hope was on the schedule and let her followers know her plans to attend, writers started inquiring.
